Don't Die Wondering. © (اسرار)

Today I came across an image on the Facebook page of one of my favorite workout sites. A scantily-clad woman was captioned “A woman without curves is like jeans without pockets… you don’t know where to put your hands.” Which got me thinking— we see so many negative messages from companies about our bodies. You have to be thin— but don’t lose your curves! Be sexy— but not slutty! Not to mention how objectifying it is. I certainly don’t want tons of anonymous guys thinking about where they’d put their hands.
If you swap the gender of the model, doesn’t it seem silly? Ads would never target guys in this way, or appeal to the female gaze. When you put it that way… why would you put it that way?

Here is a link where someone has added the original picture.
